You can toss those if you don't think you will owe more than $1000 next year at tax time.
Neither the IRS, nor state are informed that the forms were prepared and are not expecting to receive them.
Yes...the default is for the software to assume next year will be similar to this year. There was a way to go thru calculations to see if the 1040ES's were actually needed, but not worth worrying about now. If you do expect higher income this year, just make sure your withholding is adjusted to match (if possible)
