I pre-ordered a BMW i4 EV on June 27, 2022 before the Inflation reduction act went into effect. I was told I should get the 2022 $7500 credit in 2023 when I receive car.

The BMW i4 doesn't qualify in 2023, but I want to verify I still qualify because my order was on file.

You qualify for the credit if you meet one important requirement - the dealer has to report the sale to the IRS for you to qualify. If they report the date of purchase properly then you will still qualify.

Also, they can't sell 200,000 of them in the US before you file.
