I'm still working and was told by Fidelity Investments that I wasn't required to take any money out of my 401k

Even thought I am 71.

I'm still working and was told by Fidelity Investments that I wasn't required to take any money out of my 401k

That is controlled by your 401k plan documents...and is allowed to be deferred until you actually leave employment...but your plan documents could have some age limit..but you'd have to ask them.

IF you have other types of retirement accounts, you would likely have to  start your RMDs for those now..
