I have a second w-2 from the post office with an amount in box 12a code L it says to include the form with my federal return

the amount is for using my own car to deliver mail. milage compensation. did not see how to include this with the online program

Just enter the amount in Box 12 (with code L) on the W-2 entry screen.  You can do this on the entry page for the first W-2.

As you said, the amount is to reimbursement you for your out-of-pocket expenses and is not taxable.

To review or edit the W-2 information you've already entered, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on Federal Taxes > Wages & Income [In TT Self-Employed:  Personal > Personal Income > I'll choose what I work on].
  2. Under Wages and Salaries, click on the Update box.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
  3. You will see the screen, Here's your W-2 info. [Screenshot #2]
  4. To review/edit the information you already entered, click on the Edit button next to the W-2 you want to review.
  5. Continue through the interview, entering the information on your W-2.
