I experienced an incorrect TurboTax import of a 1099-R. It put the Box 14 (State tax withheld) amount in box 16 (State Distribution)

That can happen if the import file was improperly formatted at the source...or if you used some other import method.

No matter how you enter any form, of any type, you must ALWAYS edit it afterwards to make sure everything went into the correct boxes.....and to answer some follow-up questions about that form that the imported file doesn't have in it..
