Go back to the My Info section on the left side of the online program screen and edit your information.  Where asked for Occupation enter Student.  This will prevent the program from asking about the Saver's Credit and for an upgrade.  It is alright to change the occupation as the IRS only uses this for statistical purposes.

That did not work.  It's still telling me I need to upgrade at the end (filing stage).  I even went in and deleted form 8880.  No go?

Then clear your return and start over with the Free edition and enter your occupation as Student.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2022 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

Was hoping to avoid that but looks like going to have to.  Thank you for your replies!
