I don't have my official CA 1099-G for unemployment benefits. Can I proceed just using my box 1 amount or do I need the Fed ID number and payer info?

You can use the link provided here to request online access to your Form 1099G for your California unemployment document and information. This will provide the information you need to finish your return.
