How do I know what to enter for my RMD?

Is my RMD the gross Distribution on my 1099R? My gross and taxable are the same.

RMD is the minimum amount you must withdraw from a 401k, IRA, or similar plan, based on your age and the account balance.  Your plan can tell you what your RMD was for 2025.  Some people only withdraw exactly the amount of their RMD, some people withdraw more.

If you have a defined pension, the entire amount is considered to be the RMD.
