It IS the required RMD ... all retirement accounts are ... just say yes.

It may or may not have been an RMD depending on the type of account and your husband's age, but if you didn't roll the distribution over to another retirement account, it does't matter how you answer TurboTax's question asking if the distribution was an RMD. TurboTax only asks the question to determine how much is eligible for rollover.
