How do I fix 0 taxable income?

My Pension is Not Showing as Income on 2025 Federal Taxes. My federal pension is showing 0 taxable and I don’t know why. That’s incorrect. My 1099r has always said unknown in box 2a but this year TurboTax is not calculating the taxable income number.  I haven’t had this problem previously. I will have to use a different company if I am unable to resolve.

The "Unknown" in box 2a of your 1099R needs to be calculated and entered into TurboTax as a number.  If there is an amount in box 5 of the 1099-R then subtract it from box 1 and enter that amount in box 2a.  Otherwise, you can just enter the amount from box 1 and the system will take care of the rest.
