How do I file my gains for an after market life insurance policy maturation? I received a 1099-R form but there is nothing showing in box 2b or box 5.

Just enter the 1099-R as written  in the program and follow the interview screens.

I did that and it doesn't allow me to deduct cost and is charging tax on the entire distribution amount.
