Is this Box 12 or Box 14? W-2 Box 12 code "EE" is Designated Roth contributions under a governmental 457(b) plan.
However a Roth contribution would not be deductible.
If these codes are in Box 14, your employer can tell you what they mean.
The are both in box 14 - he is a government employee so I would imagine it is contributions to his pension plan. He contributes 2%, and I am assuming these are the amounts of his contributions but I don't see anywhere to include this on the tax return. A brief google search says box 14 is for information purposes only??
If you have an entry in box 14 of your W2 and you don't see an exact match in the category list, choose "Other (not classified)" from the bottom of the drop down list.
Box 14 is used to report items that do not affect your federal tax return, so every possible entry is not listed, only the ones that affect your state return.
