Pension distributions would normally be listed on line 4 or 5 of your Form 1040, not on line "Z" of Schedule 1. They would be entered as a Form 1099-R, so you may want to check on that.
To have income reported on a Form 1099-MISC show up as other income on Schedule 1, line 8 "z", you would enter the Form 1099-MISC in the Wages and Income section of TurboTax, then Other Common Income, then Income from Form 1099-MISC. Enter the income in box 3 of the form entry and when asked, indicate that the income is not associated with your job, that you only earned it in 2024 and you didn't have an intent to make a profit to receive the income.
