Did not include the Social Security income for William and Betty, need to modify

At this stage, you will need to wait until IRS accepts your electronic return before amending your 2020 return. According to IRS.gov, IRS will not begin accepting returns until 02/12. Once your return is accepted:

1. Log into turbo tax
2. In your landing page, scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see an option to amend (change) 2020 return.  Do not attempt this now because that option won't be available until IRS accepts your return.
3. Once you are in the amendment process, go to:
4. federal>income and expenses>all income
5. Retirement plans and Social Security>show more 
6. Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099) Start
7. Here you will enter your SSA-1099.

To enter Social Security benefits reported on form SSA-1099

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
• On Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099), click the start or update button

Or enter ssa-1099 in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to ssa-1099
