I input a 401(k) 1099-R with code8 and with box 2a displaying same amount as box1. TurboTax does not include it in my taxable income??Why??

At 70 years old, I deferred in calendar year 2018 $24,500 for 401(k) and $18,500 for 457(b). Perhaps these are causing the mystery??Help!!

Where are you looking? It should be added to the income on the 1040 line 1.
