Just click on the option Skip W-2.

Or if a W-2 was transferred from 2021 then delete the W-2.

If an employer or a W-2 transferred over from your 2021 return you can delete that employer or W-2 in Federal?Wages & Income.  Then say you do not have any W-2's to enter.

Enter the income you actually received in 2022.  Did you get Social Security, a pension, income from a retirement account like a 401k or IRA?

Do not try to enter your SSA1099  or RR1099RB as a W-2.  Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.

We are retired and do not get a W-2.  We indicated that for the federal return.  But the state return (CA) wants a value from the W-2 worksheet that does not exist and won't accept a blank or zero value.

There must be some W-2 info in your Federal return that is flowing into your California return.

In your Federal return, type 'W-2' in the Search area, then click on 'Jump to w-2'.   If you see any entries on the Summary Page, Delete them.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, you can also go to FORMS, and under 'Forms in my Return' delete any W-2 related forms or worksheets.

If you're using TurboTax Online, here's How to View and Delete Forms in TurboTax Online.
