The IRS took more money from my account than my tax returns indicate they should have. Who do i contact to correct this?

First, I suggest downloading a copy of your tax return from your TurboTax account and double checking the amount that you owe IRS. You can also request a tax transcript of your tax return from IRS Click here for a link to IRS.gov's get transcript page.

If the amount withdrawn still doesn't match the copy of your tax return, I suggest contacting IRS to find out the reason why they took more money from your bank account than your tax return indicated. The IRS phone number is: 1-800-829-1040.
