just before emailing my finished returns, Turbo Tax asks for my employer information, but I'm retired and Turbo Tax wont accept it. Now what?

Fill it out.  There are situations where the IRS will ask for this information until you pass away.  A good example is a retirement plan/annuity associated with your employer.  Not sure why you are concerned unless what you are saying is that you do enter the info and Turbo Tax won't accept what you type into TurboTax.
