Retirement contributions not shown on return

W2 entered shows 401k contributions but copy of return does not reflect it for me? Why?

Even though the Form W-2 includes information about your 401K contributions, they aren't reported on your tax return. The information (Box 12) is for your records and to explain the difference between the amount in Box 1 and Boxes 3 and 5.
