Do I say yes or no to question “did you contribute to a retirement plan in 2018?”

Did you contribute to any retirement plans during 2018 - i.e. did you contribute to a 401k (or maybe 403b or 457) through your employer?  A traditional or ROTH IRA?  Or, a self-employed retirement plan?

If so, you can answer YES.  If you aren't sure you should be able to see on your W2 if there were contributions to a retirement plan
