Do I need to file income taxes when my only source of income is Social Security Retirement less than $25,000 and filed married jointly?

If you are filing a joint return with your spouse, then you also need to consider your spouse's income to determine whether you should both file a return.  If you do file a tax return reporting all of your income between you, be sure to include your Social Security income as part of the return.
