Do I need to claim the Retirement Saving Contribution Credit if I don't want to?

No.....but to avoid having to upgrade to a paid version of TTX, you go thru the RSCC interview and indicate that you were a full time student during 2020....even if you were not... Nothing wrong with not taking that credit if it's too small to bother with.
