Do I need to add the amount on federal return for Social Security SSA-1099 for disability income to the "Other Subtractions from Federal Income" for Virginia income area?

Does TurboTax automatically remove the SSA-1099 amount on the Virginia state return since SSDI is not taxable in Virginia?

Information flows from the federal return to the state return.  The software follows the tax laws of your state when it calculates your state tax. VA does not tax SS.   Let the software do its job.  You do not have to move anything around.
