In general, worker’s compensation is not taxable income and therefore is not reported on your federal tax return.

 

There are special rules regarding reporting worker’s compensation income.

But if you also receive retirement benefits, Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), you may need to pay taxes on a portion of your benefits.
