Dan has 2 1099's, one is his Social Security Benefit Statement and the other is 1099-R is his Teamster's Pension Trust

Both of the income from the 1099's isn't  counted as "income", it is shown on lines 5a and 6a, these are shown as not Taxable amount.

Both of these are not Taxable

Do you have a question about them?  If they are not taxable then they will not be on line 5b and 6b.  Should they be taxable?

 

If you are looking at an income summary screen or review screen those show the full amount as income and lump a lot of stuff together. You need to check the actual 1040 form and make sure it’s right. For 1099R check 1040 line 4b or 5b for any taxable amount.  If it was a rollover it should say ROLLOVER by the “b” line.
