Confirming "state taxes withheld"

I am working on "tax adjustments" as part of community property allocation and it's asking me for federal taxes and state taxes that were withheld. Are federal taxes sum of boxes 2 + 4 + 6 on the W2, and state tax is box 17?

Confirming "state taxes withheld"

No,

Box 2 only on your W-2 for the Federal Tax

Yes, Box 17 for the state.

Box 4 and 6 on your W-2 is not Federal INCOME tax, which is what the program is asking.

Those boxes report the deposits made into your Social Security Account.

That does not get allocated.

Disregard boxes 4 and 6.
