TT 2025 desktop bug encountered. When I click on the button to update the SSA-1099 field the screen flashes and nothing happens. I have to manually go to forms to find the line in 1040 and do it that way. However, even after doing this the update button fails to give me a walkthrough prompt to make sure I entered everything correctly. Please fix!!

Try this if you are using Windows as the OS on your computer -
Save your tax return and close TurboTax
Right click on the TurboTax icon
Click on Properties
Click on the Compatibility tab
Check the box Run this program as an administrator
Click on Apply and then on OK
Start the TurboTax program again and see if the problem persists
If that doesn't work....One other person with the same problem fixed it by:
1) Switch to Forms Mode
2) Select the SS Benefits worksheet in the left window
3) Delete it in the rt Window
4) Return to the interview and start thru the SSA-1099 entry area again.
At least that worked for this other case.
