Can you help? The system is telling me that "the total amount you entered does not equal the reported amount in box 11 of 1099 Div". This is not the case.

Review your input in the "Income & Expenses section under the 1099-DIV input.

 

It could be that a character was accidentally keyed in while you were inputting forms.

 

Box 11 of the 1099-DIV is for Exempt interest dividends.  This is usually from mutual funds.

If you have an amount in Box 11 from a mutual fund or money market account that invests in more than one state, you can scroll to the very last choice in the drop down box entitled "State" and select "Multiple states."  It took me 3 hours and 3 live chats before I stumbled on this by accident.
