Can I Include Social Security Disability, Retirement payments, and Wages in the adjusted gross income - they are not showing up. Should I contact the IRS? Thanks.

I have the W2, the SS form, and the 1099R forms but didn't have the option to upload them.

All of those forms have to be entered on your tax return.  You can enter each one manually.  The taxable income reported on the forms will be included in your total income and in your Adjusted Gross Income.

To enter Social Security benefits reported on form SSA-1099

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
On Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099), click the start or update button

Or enter ssa-1099 in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to ssa-1099

Up to 85% of Social Security Retirement/Disability/Survivors benefits becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security reaches:

  • Married Filing Jointly - $32,000
  • Single or Head of Household - $25,000
  • Married Filing Separately - 0

To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button

Or enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R

On the screen Did you get a 1099-R in 2023? Click on Yes

On the next screen click on Continue

On the screen Let's import your tax info Click on Change how I enter my form

On the screen How do you want to add your 1099‑R? Click on Type it in myself

What do you mean by "didn't have the option to upload them?"

Do you mean you just did not enter that income?  Did you e-file?

Enter a W-2 in Federal>Wages & Income.   You might be able to import it or you might need to key it in by hand.

Some employers have payroll sites that will have your W-2. You might need to phone, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.

Enter a SSA1099 by hand----it cannot be imported.

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

To enter a 1099R  :

To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.

You might be able to import it if your financial institution is partnered with TT to allow importing data.   If yours is not on the drop down list then click the words "I'lll type it in myself" and key it in by hand.    If you do not have a copy you can get it from the plan or the plan's web site.
