Can I fill out a Schedule C using my social security number instead of a tax ID if I made less than $100 last year?
I received a 1099K in the mail for driving Uber last year. I only had 6 trips and made a total of $99. I was told I have to file for a Tax ID number (not my SS #) in order to fill out a Schedule C. Is this true? If so, how/where can I apply for a Tax ID number?

No you do not need an EIN. You use your ssn on schedule C. You only need to get the EIN if you pay employees.
