What if neither box is checked in Box2b on my 1099-R form?

Then neither of the reasons in box 2b are applicable to the income reported on the Form 1099-R.  If this is a regular annual retirement/pension payment it is normal for box 2b to be not used.

If neither of the box 2b boxes is marked on the form provided by the payer, leave these boxes unmarked on TurboTax's 1099-R form.
