Are you asking for social security number for a child you are not claiming on your taxes?

Yes, in the Personal Information section, the program requests the social security number for every person that is entered into the program.  The reason for this is that the program calculates credits, deductions, etc... based upon a person's age, whether or not you are claiming them as a dependent.  Please rest assured that all information is safe with us, but if you do not want to list the social security number for some reason, you will have to delete the child's other information from the program.
