When I enter the information from the 1099R for my 401K to IRA Direct Distribution (Code G), in the TT form the amount shows up in the sum for the Total withdrawals as if it was income for 2022. How is that correct? The is no ooption to select the IRA as a Traditional IRA
Thanks!

If you are looking at an income summary screen or review screen those show the full amount as income and lump a lot of stuff together. You need to check the actual 1040 form and make sure it’s right. For 1099R check 1040 line 4b or 5b for any taxable amount. If it was a rollover it should say ROLLOVER by the “b” line.
Code G is a direct transfer and not taxable.
Thanks! But still a bit confused. When you say "1040 line 4b or 5b for any taxable amount. If it was a rollover it should say ROLLOVER by the “b” line." will this be printed on the completed TT form? I don't see it on the IRS 1040 form.
Thanks again!
Yes it should be printed on the Turbo Tax return. It might be closer to the "a" part on left. But make sure you have 0 on the b line. Unless you have other 1099R that are taxable.
Ok, thanks! I haven't seen the printout yet.
