2019 SEP IRA contribution deadline

Please verify that I have until 15JUL2020 to contribute to my SEP IRA as a sole proprietor. I know that traditional IRA and Roth IRA's can be funded for 2019 until 15JUL, but I cannot find specifically that SEP IRAs are also included in this extended tax filing date.

You have until the due date of your return (including extensions) to contribute to your SEP-IRA. As the due date of your return is extended to July 15, 2020, so is your SEP IRA contribution deadline. If you file for an extension, you have until October 15, 2020 to contribute.

If filing an extension to October 15th, 2022

1. What is the deadline for contributing to an Individual SEP IRA?

2. What is the deadline for contributing to an Individual IRA?

1. The SEP IRA contribution deadline is October 17, 2022 if you file an extension.

2. The individual IRA contribution deadline is April 18, 2022, even if filing an extension.

I have a related question: I have already filed my 2019 tax return using TurboTax Home and Business. Can I wait to fund my SEP IRA for 2019 until July 15, 2020 since the normal filing date has been delayed from April 15, 2020?

Yes, the date to fund your SEP IRA has also been extended until July 15, 2020.

TurboTax version I have "Build Apr 10, 2020 at 4:27:08 PM" does not yet reflect the filing date changes for IRA contribution, filing date, first estimated payment date. When might Turbotax be updated?
