1099R recipient of proceeds from annuity

Is TT asking the right questions or did I miss somethin?

I received the proceeds of an annuity that was inherited initially by my mom when my dad was passed. She was told she didn't have to take monthly payments. Now that she has passed, I received my proceeds. The Insurance company declared they knew how much to tax and only taxed a small portion. 

TT is asking questions about having taking the monthly payments for the pension.  It was not a pension at all. It was an annuity that dad set up. I am a beneficiary. I'm guessing I am being penalized somehow.

When asked if you received periodic payments, simply answer No.
