1099B

My husband (over age 59.5) withdrew $ from a Roth he’s had more than 5 years. TurboTax keeps asking for a 1099-B. Brokerage doesn’t provide a 1099 B for a Roth withdrawal. Isn’t a qualified Roth withdrawal tax free?  Thank you!

The Roth withdrawal is reported on form 1099-R, not 1099-B.

Yes, a qualified Roth withdrawal is tax-free. But you still have to enter your form 1099-R on your tax return.
