Here is what I'm goin through currently with turbo tax an this entire stimulus situation..
Im so confused so essentially in the beginning when I began looking into all of this I identified and still identify as a nonfiler with no source of income. As I am scrolling through inquiring about the stimulus pay and all that I come across turbotax and it's headline implementing partnership with the IRS in regards to helping non filers get their stimulus payment. This was before the IRS had opened it's portal for non filers and people alike. so I went to the link provided by turbotax, the site informed me in order to register me for the stimulus pay I would have to file a simple tax return, free of charge. They sent it to IRS and I got the accepted statement saying the IRS had recieved it and was awaiting determination of my eligibility. Ofcourse I've been one of those people that feel the need to check things excessively just hoping to see approval or deposit made notification or anything different than what it had said the time before. Well the further I look after getting the copy of my "simple taxes" turbotax filed for me for the stimulus registration process the last 2 pages seem incomplete to me(however I'm no tax expert) and trying to read this crap an understand it all is another foreign language to me. However I did notice where I entered my direct deposit info where you're supposed to check either checking or savings I know for a fact when asked i selected checking and lookin over my documents after the fact that turbotax had done sent them, neither option is selected for whatever reason. I tried looking through all the FAQ' s checked the IRS page tried using the where's my refund and it asked for the amount of my refund expected back an I look an it says my refund amount is $0 and the where's my refund portal doesn't accept 0 as a whole number so i can't access that info and also on turbotax where you view your efile and everything else it says where it was sent and recieved an then accetped where it shows your document files it shows my federal has been accepted but my state is showing "started" beside it I've been to IRS page and researched some but with everything as hectic as it is and also with the corona pandemic, it's practically impossible to actually speak to a real human being and to get real solutions to your problems explained in a way you can understand.I'd seen where the where the IRS were coming out with another portal for you to be able to go update your direct deposit and address and the one to track your stimulus Upon entering my info there I got the same exact response as well. letting me know the info on file they couldn't determine eligibility for payment. An when I t to use the IRS portal to apply for the stimulus payment it let's me enter majority of my info then near the end process informs me I have already filed 2019 taxes ?then I was going to post about this and ask for help from anyone on here and now sees as though I have been got by turbo tax as well.
