Did you fill out the screen asking if you got the 2 payments? You had to enter the amounts you got for each one. Did you get one or both payments? If not it should be added to your tax return. The Recovery rebate credit is on 1040 line 30. It either adds to your refund or reduced a tax due. Is line 30 for the right amount you didn't get yet?
I'd like an answer to this question also, line 30 is blank and I don't see the question?
If line 30 of the 1040 is blank, a Rebate Recovery Credit was not computed.
In TurboTax Online, you are prompted to input stimulus check 1 and stimulus check 2 information under Review down the left hand side of the screen.
You can also access your stimulus check choices by following these steps:
TurboTax will compare your one or two stimulus payment amounts to the computations within TurboTax. The computations within TurboTax are based upon the information that you have entered into the tax software. If you are due an additional amount, it will be issued as a Rebate Recovery Credit (RRC) on line 30 of the 2020 1040 tax return.
Thanks for the quick reply, I'm using Home and Business software on my computer not online and do not find the question of stimulus in step by step. Googling says line 30 of 1040 but it won't let me enter it there either. Maybe turbo tax needs an update to ask this question?
To get to the Recovery Rebate Credit section in TurboTax Home & Business:
If you click on the Forms mode in the upper right you can view the Recovery Rebate Credit Worksheet. It’s listed as Recov Rebate Cr in the left column (Forms in My Return).
Thank you very much, exactly what I was looking for.👌
