When you used "Get My Payment" did you recognize the account number it was going to? Was it going directly to your bank/card account? i.e., were the last 4 numbers the actual numbers of your account, or was it an account you don't recognize?
Here's a possibility, which may or may not apply to you.
In 2018 or 2019 did you use the option to pay any TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund? If so, that process uses a temporary intermediary bank account to receive your Federal tax refund, which is the account that the IRS would have on record. If the IRS sent it to that intermediary bank account (which should now be closed), the intermediary company would send it back to the IRS, who would issue a check in the mail. That process takes about 2 weeks. If you did not use that method to pay any fees, then this paragraph won't apply to you.
Is it true that we’re receive the stimulus check for the next 6 months?
This is a bunch of BS that I don't need
I was not given 500 dollars for my second kid because I did not file my taxes before the stimulus check came in. I was wondering if there was a way to get that 500 dollars? I have already received my stimulus check and it was 500 dollars short.
I filled my taxes using TurboTax 2019 and owed. The TurboTax software indicated my filling and payment (verified with my bank) was was accepted April 14, 2020. I have tried numerous times on the IRS' " Where's My Payment" site to find out when my stimulus check is to be sent out. Each and every time it has locked me out after saying "Your information does not match our records!" I know my information in correct and I transcribe it exactly as it is on my 1040-SR forms. The IRS has withdrawn the amount I owed from my bank account (4/14/2020) and I meet all the qualifications for the $1,200 payment. What is going on and who can I speak to about this to verify I will be getting this?
My bank is offering COVID-19 payment deferral assistance for three months on its credit cards and automatically signed my credit account up for the assistance plan. In the description on my account it states that “No minimum payments will be due & No interest will be charged for 3 months/3 billing cycles” and that “If your account was current, we will continue to report it as current. If your account was past due, we will not change the delinquency status we previously reported to the credit bureaus during the deferment period.”
My account was paid regularly and current at the time that this assistance plan was activated. I called my bank to see if this assistance would be reported on my credit report or if it has the potential to impact me negatively in any way. They said they weren’t sure but that it would be reported that the bank had to manually change my credit reporting to current and in good standing for each of the three pay periods and that I should call a credit reporting specialist for more information.
Should I stay on this assistance plan? Will it negatively impact my credit score/financial health in any way? How do I find/contact a credit reporting specialist?
i cant find where to start a new post so may be you can help me i did taxs with turbo got my card registered it then a couple of weeks later got another e mile from turbo card 2 it stated dose this mean some one else got another card in my name
To me who gave the bank the authority to sign you up from something you did not ask and why should you find a credit specialist when your bank is responsible for fixing it to me they signed you up for something that u did not ask for now more money out of your pocket this is becoming more clearer how this system is working we the grunts working everyday so they can come up with more ways to fraudulent take money from us they only give you some of your hard earned money the pocket the rest i would tell your bank they better fix the problem the caused by signing you for something u did not give them permission to do
do you own any child support because the letter will be stating why you did not get your payment child support took it
Hello! I heard that there is already the second round of payments. Is it true?

It's all still being negotiated. The House narrowly passed a recent bill, but got greedy and added all sorts of unbelievable pork and unnecessary stuff including payments to illegal aliens (is America great or what?!!) in the bill, knowing it wouldn't pass in the Senate. The Senate is just now taking it up to modify. So no one knows yet what the final outcome will be once the House and Senate reach a compromise. Of course, the President will also have to approve.
Even once approved it can take many weeks to process and distribute. They haven't even finished processing the first round yet. And the IRS has been operating with limited personnel the last few weeks.
I filed single. But the IRS says I'm not eligible for stimulus payment because of the error from turbo tax someone can claim my spouse as dependant. I did not do this. How can I fix this and resubmit to irs for stimulus payment
See this TurboTax FAQ for help with amending.
I used Turbo tax to file my 2018 and 2019 tax return and based on both return i was eligible for a Stimulus check but till date i do not see any update on the IRS site. The only info i see out there is : We do not have enough info or you are not eligible for it.
Is anyone else in the same boat like me. What are my options now?
