Auto debiting my account

How do i stop turbotax from taking money out of my account that i do not have? The IRS still hasnt issued my tax refund and i have it set up so my refund pays for it. The IRS is holding my refund for further review for up to 60 days as of march 24th.

Did you choose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund?  If so, and if you have been getting emailed bills because your Federal refund has been delayed (or reduced) by the IRS, phone TurboTax Support ASAP.  They are open another hour tonight.  Ask them for a deferment.

If you don't either pay or ask for a deferment, they will ultimately debit your bank account.   You need to contact them right away.  Once they start the debit process they cannot stop it, and they start it 2-3 days prior to the bank debit.

If the email has a phone number to reach Support, try that first.

If it didn't tell you how to reach Support, here's another way to get a phone number:

Hours are 5AM-9PM Pacific (8AM-12 Midnight Eastern), 7 days/week

@ Brandimedrano3

I just saw that this FAQ below now has a specific phone number to use to ask for a deferment.  See the first paragraph for the number.

FAQ:  Why was my bank account auto-debited for TurboTax fees?

It says:

" We understand that these are unprecedented times and we’re committed to helping our customers who are experiencing hardships.   If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support."

For those people out there with the situation I had as well of auto debiting your bank acct.  if you call the # they sent you via email regards on the auto debit date, they will give you the deferment extension of 21 days I just called and was blessed to speak with a guy and he truly helped me out, my deferment was extended to 5/1/2020 for the amount of $140,  Awesome. It took me several attempts to reach them but I got it, when you call mention first "to speak with a specialist" then say "auto debit" and your call will be transfered to a live person and from there it should work out for everyone. "Stay Positve. take care and be Blessed people.

Sincerely:

Luis R. "Army Vet."

PS: this is the Ph # I called, [phone number removed] it's mentioned above in the thread.

@LRos69

Thanks for sharing your experience and tips.  I'm glad TurboTax Support was able to help you with the debit extension.  This is a public forum, and it looks like the forum privacy filter removed the phone number you posted.  But for others who may see this thread, as you mentioned, the phone number should be in the emailed bill and is displayed in my answer higher up in this thread as well as the first paragraph of this FAQ:
