I went from active duty to reserves in 2021. My home of record was in PA, now I am a resident of CA. How should I document that in my info?

You have been filing a Pennsylvania return for the entire time you were in the military but you're done having to do that now.

If you separated at the beginning of 2021 then you'll just file a return as a California full-year resident and you're done.

If you separated in the middle or towards the end of the year then you will file a Part-Year Resident return in both PA and CA.

You will enter the dates you were still active as the dates that you resided in Pennsylvania and then you will enter the date of separation as the date that you became a California resident.
