I am currently on F-1 visa status and on optional practical training period (OPT). Am I exempt to social security and medicare taxes ?
I received W2 from my company and they have deducted social and medicare taxes. So I wanted to confirm if I am exempt to those or not. (F1 Student, On OPT, Non resident alien)

Yes, the rules would include your training year.
Information about the exemption can be found here.
