You may simply have not selected your military status as active duty wages.
To code your military W-2 as active duty income (double check the EIN on the W-2 entry as well):
- Once in your return, click on Personal Info and make sure you selected 'I am a member or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces (active, reserve or National Guard)'.
- On the next screen select 'Active duty military' (or appropriate category-see below)
- Continue to answer questions about your military service
If that doesn't work, the next step is to delete your W-2 and re-enter:
- Click Federal Taxes tab then Wages & Income tab
- Click Add/Edit next to military W-2
- Click trash can icon next to W-2
Please update here if you need further assistance and one of your tax experts will help you.
