You really shouldn't need either. The Free Edition should support the reporting of dividends, even capital gains distributions, since there are line items on the Form 1040A for both.

If it doesn't then Deluxe should work fine.

Curious as to why last year I was able to use turbo tax free edition, but this year, no matter how hard I tried, I was only recommended and forced to pay basic edition?
