Writing off real estate tax, mortgage interest, and PMI on rental

hey there. Where do I write the mortgage interest and PMI off for my rental property? I have a mortgage interest statement from my loan company, but the rental information is self-inputted. Are these three written off in the expenses/assets portion of the tax return? or is it part of the Property (Real Estate) Taxes deductions?

Writing off real estate tax, mortgage interest, and PMI on rental

As you go through the sch E for rental property. For expenses:

  • there is a page of common expenses with the real estate taxes and insurance,
  • continue,
  • the next screen asks about mortgage interest. Include the PMI in with the mortgage interest.
