It is an expense the owners have due to HOA fumigation in their rental. How can that be personal?
To be clear----you are the tenant? You had to stay in a hotel while the building was fumigated? That is not deductible on your tax return.
No, this is the tax return for the rental owner, so it is an expense. Just wondering where it should go, misc?
List this temporary housing expense on Line 19 under "Other" with a description (e.g., Temporary Tenant Housing due to Fumigation or something like that).
