What is my California capital loss carryover amount that I am suppose to enter in Turbotax ? I have a capital loss carryover of $68,765 on my federal return from 2017

You need to look at your 2017 tax return to determine that amount.

I shouldnt have to look at 2017 because the loss carryover was pulled from my 2017 turbotax.  The state should already have entered the info for me as it pulled my 2017 return. The state turbotax screen says my federal loss carryover is $68,765. Turbotax shouldnt be asking me what i want to enter for my loss carry forward. It should have calculated it and plugged in the anount autonatically.
