We will sell a domain name that we bought 25 yrs ago for personal use. The sale will be $100K. This is not a business. Should we file it under Capital Gains or income?

We didn't plan on selling this but the price was good. We do not have a business to sell domains. My husband and I have jobs nothing to do with this domain.

If there was no business use of the domain name, then it is investment income and will receive capital gains treatment. Enter in the TurboTax section for Investments.
