I rent a small condo unit to people . I manage it . I checked a box for profit but not sure I should have

This has nothing to do with QBI or rental property.
Work through the W-2 section and after you select the option for "I/We don't have any W-2's" you have to finish working that section through entirely so that your selection "sticks".
I have undone it many times when I get to the state return it wants all the info for my w2. I have a rental property I thought maybe in entered it wrong. I check back with the federal and there it is my w2 checked.
It sounds like there is an incomplete W-2 form entry in your return. Here is how you can delete empty forms:
I use premier and I don't get that 2nd screen and there is no trashcan to put it in. I think it was generated because I have a rental property but it should not generate a w2. my state return wants all the figures and names of the w2 and wont let me go any further.
I don't think your rental property or QBI is generating a W-2. Before you attempt to delete the W-2 again, sign out of your return and close your window. Then open your browser again and sign back into TurboTax, then attempt to delete the form. Type W-2 in the search box up top and then hit enter. Use the Jump to W-2 in the search results to go to a list of all the W-2s on your return. Use the trash can icon to remove the unwanted W-2(s). See the image below. After you delete the W-2(s), the screen should say You currently don't have any W-2 info, click on Done.
If you are still receiving an error, go back to the Rental Property section and review the entries to your condo rental. You can type rentals in the search box to get back to that section to review your entries.
I don't have another screen saying here is your w2 info. I think maybe I entered my rental property wrong and it generates a w2. I cant start over the state wants all w2 info. it wont let me go forward.
i think your best option is to clear and start over on the left hand side. If you don't, the return could get out of hand and place you at a point of no return.
