Turbotax deleted one of my rental properties with all the historical information and various depreciation schedules. How? It asked to agree to remove two depreciation schedules that had reached the end, I concured. Instead, this glitchy 2022 software deleted the entire property. The asset worksheets are gone! I decided to exit the program, very carefully without saving the changes. That did not help. Upon restarting, the property was gone-gone!
I have read all FAQs, and it looks like my only option is to start a whole new return (inputing the data accurately for this one property is harder for accuracy sake). There is no re-importing of this one property from a previous year tax file. I have worked on this tax file for a whole week (multiple properties involved). All that is now LOST!
1. Turbotax, please investigate and fix this bug immediately. It will be very unfortunate if anyone else has to redo all the work as I will have to do.
2. Why not implement a step by step revert feature or snapshots of some kind?
